Unwrap the Joy

Details

The Lone Star Wind Orchestra presents a Christmas celebration with joyful and festive music for the entire family. Whether it’s carols, classical pieces, or contemporary tunes, music has a special way of bringing people together and enhancing the holiday spirit.

Guest conductor Andrew Trachsel and the LSWO are joined by members of the Lone Star Youth Winds in this special concert.

WRR 101.1’s Amy Bishop returns to Moody Performance Hall to collaborate once again with the Lone Star Wind Orchestra. Back in April, Amy Bishop was the narrator for Dan Brown’s Wild Symphony. This December, Amy Bishop will narrate Joseph Spaniola’s Is There a Santa Claus?.

Is there a Santa Claus? is based on the text taken from the September 21st, 1897 editorial titled “Yes, Virginia, There is a Santa Claus.” Francis P. Church’s editorial, which was published in the New York Sun in response to a letter by eight-year old Virginia O’Hanlon, has become an important part of popular Christmas lore in the United States.

The Lone Star Wind Orchestra is excited to join WFAA’s Santa’s Helpers this December. WFAA’s Santa’s Helpers is celebrating its 55th year of collecting holiday toys for children throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. Last year’s Santa’s Helpers toy drive was a huge success providing holiday toys to more than 50,000 needy children. Bring a toy to our concert and let’s help put a smile on kids’ faces this holiday season.

The LSWO invites family and friends to Moody Performance Hall in Dallas to experience something wonderful and delightful. UNWRAP THE JOY with the Lone Star Wind Orchestra on Sunday, December 15, 2025 at 3pm!
